That totally sounds like it would be official. Your provider keeps your medical record. Imagine the liability if anyone could change their records. Kind of like altering your college transcript
Well when we can enter it manually it would be just some data in our Health and have nothing to do with the official record. Normally we would need manual entering only if when we can’t get our records into Health. I didn’t ask for a capacity to ‘delete’ or ‘change’.

Why is this site so toxic in the comment section? I feel like the majority of comments are just useless - people complaining about stuff for no reason. It’s just an article stating that a new company was added to medical records. No one is saying it’s something impressive on Mayo’s part.

My guess, its because this site posts a lot of content daily.

I was able to link my Quest and LabCorp accounts to my Health app before my medical providers got on board. Since those two have like 90% of the market share of lab here, that’s a good workaround for people in the US.

that's a bit of an overstatement. Hospital Labs still perform the majority of lab work. Quest & LC are probably 50-60% of Reference Lab work.

When I hear the word Mayo I just get hungry. It’s the worst name for a clinic especially the weight loss department.

I'm less enthusiastic about using iOS and MacOS for medical records now that Apple has announced they'll be starting on-device scanning and reporting illegal images to the local authorities.

This initial limited scanning for child porn hashes and reporting won't violate medical privacy but it's a big step towards reducing privacy in iOS and MacOS.
