hmmm... I was just looking over this and its pretty obvious to me now. The MacBook has basically the same specs (+more ram, - graphics and 2" on the screen) and that I can buy an new external display if I need the extra space. for the money that I'm saving.

Get what you are happy with, but I think MBPs are so much better looking!

I can't wait to see the gloss/matte screens side by side so I can decide on what I want.

(this coming from a future 17incher...) but anyway, if you don't like the gloss, the choice is clear. good luck and enjoy :)

If you really need the extra screen real-estate and the added GPU power. Then get the MBP. Don't expect to do much intense video or photo editing with the MB. I'd personally get the MBP (thats from the fact I've been starting to play more games on my laptop and the 15 inch screen is nice).

Pro. All the way.

GPU, larger, metal case (for cooling)... and with Bootcamp: welcome to the world of games games games! Is the worth the $300 difference? I sure think so, at least for me.

w_parietti22, have you seen both in person?

I think everyone who can, should do so before deciding on how to spend $1-2K. It might make your decision easier, too. :p
