Hi,

Can anyone confirm how much the ADC (Apple Developer Center) student once-per-lifetime discount is? I googled a lot and looks like it's about 20%, varying slightly by products.

I asked before I just registered a student membership a few days ago and I was told by them that I am now holding a discount, although I cannot see it in my active assets on the member site. I followed the link on the hardware purchase program page and got to the developer connection store. However, the price I saw there is definitely not 20%. For example, I want to buy a MB Pro 13, and the price I saw there is $1349. And the 15" highest model is $1899, but my friend used his student discount a few weeks ago and he got around $1600. So I figured that there must be something wrong, and I cannot get the discount work. I called the number of ADC, and they only kept frustrating me. At first they told me that the price I saw is _before_ discount, and later another guy told me it is _after_ discount, and he doesn't know why my friend got $1600, as if I was lying to him. I am very angry about them.

Please, anyone can tell me what's going on?

Click "ADC Hardware Purchase Program Store"

You have to purchase the ADC Student program. Then, you have to fax/email your school schedule to them to verify that you are a student. After you are approved you will get an email and then you can purchase something.

As for the price, this is what I'm seeing;
MBP;
13"; 2.26 = $1079, 2.53 = $1349
15"; 2.53 = $1529, 2.66 = $1599, and 2.80 = $1839
17"; 2.80 = $1999

The Student ADC Membership is only $99 - I bought the original uMBP 2.4, for $1599 - saved myself $400 off the retail tag. So it's definitely worth it.

x2. I got a 2.26 for $1049 with free shipping and no tax.

I agree, with the ADC Student membership the sweet-spot is the 15" and 17"
15"; 2.66 = $1599, and 2.80 = $1839, 17"; 2.80 = $1999
Retail for the three are 1999, 2299, and 2499.
