I got this macbook and the hard drive died, installed a new one. Have the orginal 10.5 install disc. Of course that installs fine. I have downloaded almost every version after this and nothing will install on it.
Rom Version: MB51.007D.B03

I just tried to load Snow Leopard and it sees the USB drive i created but just sits there spinning with a line through the circle.

Any help appreciated

The last legit macOS that one will run is El Capitan. Do you know of anyone with a Mac that might still have "Install OS X El Capitan" in their Applications folder? If so, you can get them to use this method to make you a USB installer.

I tried that version and used TransMac to create the USB and got nothing
[doublepost=1504280991][/doublepost]Is there some way of telling the macbook to stop verifying the OS version saying that its not compatible? When i booted it to a Snow Leopard USB drive. it wouldn't allow me to install it either... Really confused

I'm a bit confused. You mention Snow Leopard and a USB drive, but SL came on DVD, not USB (I think there may have been a USB version specifically for the MacBook Air, but it probably won't run on other systems). Which version do you have? [Edit: Just noticed that you mentioned downloads; there is no official download of SL, you need to buy it].

You need at least 10.6 (plus updates) to get to the App Store. Once that's up and running you should be able to download 10.11 and either upgrade or run createinstallmedia.

I finally got Snow Leopard installed, did the updates, App Store can't login to, He has 2fa enabled, i put in the details and it sends him the 6 digit code but there is no place to put it.
