I've been a MBA 13" ultimate user for a month or so.

Today, I fell in love with 11" suddenly.

The main reason I had chosen this monster is its bigger screen estate (wanted 11 though I needed it, at least my mind was in that way then), for drawing documents up with iWork/Office apps.
Sooner or later I've realized screen size is not really the problem with Lion. With its fullscreen feature it's not. When using Xcode I use external display in anyways.

Now I'm thinking about selling this 13" to get 11".
For users using your MBA 11 as your only computer, do your eyes hurt due to its small screen? This is my only concern whether to do *click* on Apple store online.

    Thanks,

I don't mean to question your tactics here, but just because someone else's eyes hurt (or not) using an 11" makes absolutely no difference on whether YOUR eyes will hurt.

Only when I poke them :D sorry couldn't resist.
but no, they don't hurt for me. I have a very, very nice LG screen. Dubbed inferior by some, fully workable without a glitch for most.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

Can you afford to get the 11" before selling your existing 13"? If so, you can get from Apple store and return after a week or so's use if you find it unsatisfactory. Alternatively, you can keep it and still have a computer while you try and sell your existing 13".

I have a 2010 11" MBA which I find easy to use and causes no eye strain. I'd agree though that it's beat to try for yourself, otherwise it becomes an expensive mistake.

Oh. Should have read your later post!

Funny enough the 11inch did hurt my eyes a little one day. Mind you I was probably hung over as well :D

I have late 40's eyes. And find myself needing reading glasses for some reading. I am only using 1.0 reading glasses so not to bad. I usually do not use them for my 11". The screen is smaller but I do not believe the actually text is that much smaller then the 13 due to increased pixel per inch.

No it does not hurt my eyes. I have had my new 11" since Aug 17th and I had the MBA 13" prior for 6 months. I really like the 11 over the 13 for the form factor. And I feel I have not given up anything.

I don't have any problem whatsoever with the text size on the 11. I found the text size to be just as small on the 13" tbh. Nothing that a little creative zooming couldn't fix.

I also use a samsung n150n plus windows 7 netbook which is a 10.1 screen.

When I was buying my 11" MBA I knew this would be suitable due to my other netbook. The MBA screen is so much crisper and brighter and just feels bigger than an 11" when using it !

The only reason why my eyes hurt at the moment is because they are wide open in awe ! I cant stop saying, WoW !!!!! :)
