Well I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy it tomorrow. Don't want to wait for a refurb in Canada.

I also checked my PC with a 60GB SSD for OS and programs, and I have way more installed there then I plan on my MBA, and I'm only using 36GB. Super excited now.

I was eyeing the refurb store as well in Canada but none yet... I would suggest that you wait till Black Friday before making your purchase. Some geniuses at the apple store told me that they should have sales on that day. Most probably like last year's $101 off on mba.

Hi,
I had a play today in the apple store to see if I need GB256 or if GB120 are enough. Looking at their systems the 120GB I played with only had 15GB of disc space left, and 55GB of what was on it is "other".

Is Lion this "other", or is that just clutter because thousands of passers by using the computer each week?

My idea is to keep the photos and working files on the MBA but export the RAW to an external drive. On my PC I use 115GB out of 140, so if Lion isn't massive and I can drop the RAW files I should be more than fine.
I have all my audio media on my 16GB phone and there is still plenty of space left, so I think I am not that big on data.

What I need is MS Office and Aperture, what I would like is maybe a game or 2 (like AoE 2).

Btw, the UK refurb store has some MBAs from today, so I am keen to order.

I think 128GB is enough to last me through the next refresh but I will probably upgrade to a 256GB model for the one after.

I went for the 256, just because.
Just because, if you run out you can't do much. :)

Rule for computers, buy more than you think you need, if you can afford it.
Technically the SSD is not upgradeable, yeah I know it is.

"Technically" - does this mean Apple would *not* upgrade the SSD if I were to take a base 13'' to the store?

The new Best Buy sale is very tempting, but like the OP I'm also afraid I'd regret 128 GB.

I have 50GB of music and video alone and still have 40GB left. It's big enough for my needs, and I was apprehensive about getting only 128GB at first.
