True. Given that I'm getting the high end 13" with 256GB and 8GB RAM, the i7 extra cost is not much.
However I'm just trying to justify it. Maybe if I can, I can do a better job convincing my parents that it is a worthwhile upgrade.
That's what I went with, i7/8/256...it's incredible. My use is undoubtedly different from yours, but I couldn't be happier with the combination of power, speed and battery life of the machine.
If anything, I feel this machine can make it 3-5 years easily thanks to the extra upgrades. Your parents might respond posirively to that logic.
