Hello!

I haven't been on Macrumors for so long! I missed you guys!

So here's the deal. I have 2 problems with my Macbook air 13" ( 1st gen).

a) It does not go to sleep propoerly. When I close the lid it only goes to sleep if it is not plugged in. If I shut the lid down while it is connected to power it will no go to sleep. I check the power options and they are all on default. Also if I manage to put it to sleep by unplugging it, and then plug it back once it's alseep it will turn back on a little bit after. I have no idea why it does this.

b) I have frequent overheat issues, above the keyboard next to where the power cord gets connected. My fan is almost constantly on, and I am wondering if it is lion or something else.

If you have any questions please ask me. If you want anything clarified!

Thanks!

You are a gem! There was 'Unarchiver' running, it was trying to extract a file but didn't actually manage to do it, It has been doing it for over a week now! It was using 98 percent of CPU, i'll see if that fixes anything! Thanks!
