This morning the battery was flat. It sleeps if I close the lid/choose sleep in menu, but it won't sleep automatically.

    pmset -g in Terminal throws up this;

    Active Profiles:
    Battery Power -1*
    AC Power -1
    Currently in use:
    standbydelay 4200
    standby 1
    halfdim 0
    panicrestart 157680000
    hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage
    disksleep 10
    sleep 5
    hibernatemode 3
    ttyskeepawake 1
    displaysleep 3
    acwake 0
    lidwake 1

Any thoughts? 10.7.2, internet sharing is off, wake for wifi access is off. Perhaps ttyskeepawake should be 0?

Extremely annoying, I've got the same issue with my late 08 mbp that I've never been able to resolve despite trying everything. It's livable with my old mbp as it's always plugged in - it's unlivable with my mba as I use it almost entirely on battery.

    SOLVED!!

BetterTouchTool was preventing auto sleep. Thought I'd share this in case anyone else is having the same issue. Annoying, because I *love* BetterTouchTool :(
