hey
currently i have 2021 M1P 16`, but i want to buy a machine for portability and outdoor using.
how is the MBA2014 13` for this use case? what do you think?
founded nice machine for about 150$
If you are looking for maximum portability, check out the 2015 11" macbook air. I have one and it runs Monterey well with 8GB RAM. Also, the SSD is easy to upgrade if needed. Does not have a super bright screen or the almighty M1 but it gets the job done and can be had for a couple hundred bucks

One of my all time favorite Macs. I had a couple of them over about a 5 year period and they never let me down.
I got my first one around 2015 when I started teaching to tote between home and the classroom, a 2011 i5/2GB/128GB. I still have it, little bugger has never let me down once.

My main laptop for casually tossing in a bag and forgetting about currently is a 2015 i5/8GB/128GB 11” Air, and man do I love that little thing. I’ve always found them to be the perfect balance between extreme portability and iusability where it counts. Most of my work is typing, so I adore the full size fantastic keyboard.

Yeah, I love this 2015 13" MBA. Had it for about 6 years now. I know it's not an 11" but it's still portable enough and runs Monterey well. Sure wish they wouldn't have dropped it yet for Ventura.. I take it to work everyday along with my work HP. It's strictly for home stuff not work. I keep those separate. At home I have it connected to the TB2 dock mostly but with the 2TB SSD I have all my music and movies onboard so I can watch anywhere when traveling.
