MBA 2015/2016 SSD upgrade

Hi,

I have here a MBA 2015/2016 I think it does have SSD flash 128GB (I say I think, because I don't know if is a real SSD, or just a flash storage). I want to upgrade it, perhaps to 1TB. I read somewhere that is cheaper to buy an adapter and upgrade to an Intel NVME?

Thank you. I was wondering how I missed it on a search, but I figured it out. I searched only on Macbook Air section.
