If I go for the 512GB SSD, am I guaranteed to get a Samsung SSD?

I haven't heard of anyone getting a Toshiba or Sandisk in the 512GB, but just wanted to be sure.

my SSD in my MBA 11" 512 GB SSD is called "Apple SSD SM0512F Media". Is it "SM" for samsung?
(anyway: 711 MB/s write & 727 MB/s Read, it's fast enough!)

Yeah that's the best one available, but I'm just checking that in the 2014 model people haven't been getting Sandisk or other?

I'll might add: my mba 11" was BTO in october 2014.

Dealbreaker for you or not?

Yeah for the price of it, I was considering hanging onto the drive for longer than I will own the Macbook Air.

Apple haven't shipped my order yet, so it's easy enough to change to the 512GB.

On the other hand, I would be happy if I got a Sandisk 128GB, and I could buy the 512GB off eBay at a later point with so many coming up for sale now.

Bought my MacBook Air in August of 2013. Picked up the i7/8gb/512. Came with the Samsung drive. Blazing fast. 700's in both read and write. Fastest drive I've ever used/owned (of course the new PCIe doesnt hurt either). :D
