Hi
I'm planning to get a MBA for programming in MacOS and Windows 10 (Parallel Desktop).
Will use this to watch movie also.
I am thinking to get a 16GB RAM and 512GB Storage machine.
But would like to know will 7‑core GPU 8‑core GPU make any different for me on my purpose?
Should I get 7 core or 8 core?

It's a $50 difference. It ought to not make a difference for programming, nor for watching movies. But, since you're already looking to get 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, you might as well just go for the 8 GPU core variant. I don't know what you plan on doing in Windows 10 for ARM64, so I can't speak to those concerns. I haven't extensively tested gaming in it. Just with Blizzard games (and all of them except for Hearthstone won't even launch). At some point, I'll try some games from my Steam library; but I'm guessing that my mileage won't be great there.

It doesn't make much difference and I would have gone with 7gpu cores if I had known it could be upgraded to my requirements (16gb ram, 1tb ssd). I don't buy into the argument, the it is only 50$ (closer to 75$ in my country). I still won't feel any difference and it makes the value gab to mbp smaller than I would have preferred.

Hi all
thanks for the reply.
1. I want to use Microsoft in Parallel Desktop, cause I also a C# and MSSQL developer.
2. In my country, the different are $1000. Thats why i really need to consider them.
Since 7 core GPU make no different in my case, I will really consider the 8core CPU and 7core GPU.
