It's broken. Go to Apple and have them give you a new one.

I have been using mine daily for 1 1/2 years now and never had a problem.

I just gone one two weeks ago, and it's been fine -- use it daily.

Maybe it's karma for all of the threads you've started on here. 😀 Have Apple replace it.
