Request for feedback on an app that will find and help eliminate duplicate files and/or deduplicate.... If I missed an earlier thread on this topic I apologize in advance.
I have a new MBA and am migrating files from both work and personal Windows systems. I have lots of data and with only 256GB SDD need to reduce amount/size files I carry around. So, I have purchased an 8TB RAID 5 (~6TB protected capacity) Iomega ix4-d200 personal cloud NAS array, but also would like to deduplicate and/or eliminate duplicate files. I know I have duplicate pictures, videos, movies. I am also sure the list of duplicate files include docs, ppts, xlss, pdfs and more. I googled and found a few apps that might do the job with mixed reviews. Any recommendations? What have you used and summary review of the app(s)? I'd prefer not to spend a lot of money, but disk space costs too (I'm done buying non-protected USB drives). 🙂
