Three times in about a week, my MacBook Air has made a noise like a camera shutter.

It did it just now whilst I was just browsing these forums. I have Safari, iCal, Mail and Pages running. There are no other Safari windows open or anything.

I'm worried it's some sort of spyware which is using my eyesight camera to photograph me without me knowing?!

Any way of finding out what's going on?

Have you looked at your Dashboard widgets yet? Could it be an add on some website?
Open Activity Monitor and select All Processes and then sort by Process Name to show you the processes currently running and press CMD+P to print a PDF and attach it to your next post via the
attach.gif
button (you may have to compress the PDF if it is too big and attach the resulting ZIP).
