Hmm, if you were in a hurry, I wonder if you could do an in Apple shop refund. Then, immediately purchase another, and set it up while in the shop.

Then again, with Covid19, and all the current limitations, not sure if Apple are allowing customers to be in their shops for 'long'...
The MBA and its accessories are now in the custody of UPS. I did explore the possibility of doing a visit to my local Apple store. It is open for click and collect plus returns. Trying to find out from Apple if I could cancel the pick up and replace it with a store visit proved frustrating. The after sales team I spoke with all have English as a second language and their knowledge on the returns policies in the country the customer is calling from is stretching their ability.(No disrespect intended)
I shall be in the USA early next year and I will make a purchase then. It does work out a lot cheaper doing it that way. Ive been using American keyboards for a long time.
Back to High Sierra and my 2011 MBP plus the latest iPad Pro.:) Comfort was at least restored in part after hearing my issue was not a stand alone one. Other unfortunates do exist.
