MBA (M2 or M3) speakers better than Touch Bar MBP (2017)?

Considering upgrading from my 2017 MBP with Touch Bar to an M2 or M3 Air, but am a little concerned about the speakers no longer being direct firing in the new MBA design. Has anyone compared the sound quality between these two designs?

If you are coming from the 13” mbp you should be fine with the m3 air

I doubt you’ll notice a difference in speakers, but everything else about the new computer is so much better than the old one. If there is a difference, it’s well worth it.
