I can wait a little while to buy a MacBook Air, and am wondering if a second generation model will appear soon? Anyone got any guesses on this? And if they do update the MBA, what are the most likely improvements?

It's been, what, three months? I'd say MacWorld '09 at the earliest. There won't be a CPU upgrade (and therefore any other) until at least then.

You don't reckon any battery improvements, extra ports, anything like that before the CPU upgrade? At the rate Apple is generally ratcheting down the length of time between various model upgrades, will they really allow the MBA to remain static for a whole year?
