MBA or Macbook

I am having a hard time deciding if I want to get a new 11.6 MBA or a Macbook. I wouldn't use it for anything crazy. I use it for internet, email, word, i also download stuff and stream it to my tv. What do you guys think?

It's up to you. Both are $999. The all white Macbook seems outdated to me. Well, the look of it.

yeah the all white does seem outdated, but it's a good price point. if it looked like the Pro models i would go with it.

I wouldn't consider the MB over the MBA. In fact, I just bought a new 13 MBP for the same price as the MB and I'm still considering swapping it for the MBA. Unless money's really tight, I think it is worth paying 200 bucks more for something that will hopefully last 3-4 years of solid use.

why are you thinking about swapping it out for a MBA?

Because all the tests I see say that they perform equally. I still have to try it in person but I don't see the point in keeping the MBP if the MBA does just as well in the applications I actually use AND it is 2 pounds lighter with better display resolution. I'd check out the Anandtech review before you buy.

wow never knew that. even with the slower processor huh? that's crazy man.

I hate the white MacBooks. I had the old one and it's just junky in comparison to any unibody aluminum model. The keys, on the older ones at least, feel cheap and loose too. New MBA is sex.
