When I finger over the surface at the edges, the precision is very poor. Is it supposed to be like this or is my trackpad faulty?

Why are you using the trackpad on the edges and not in the middle?...

as long as it is functioning proper it is fine ... They are not all perfectly flush.

Only worry if it stops doing it's magic 😎

yes, mine does that too, im used to a bigger trackpad on my 17" MBP, so sometimes i start not at the exact middle area, guess i have to start everytime in the middle area to give it a good precision.

I have no problems with mine. Works like a charm.
