We have a Netgear RangeMaster Dual Band Wireless N router.
My wife likes to stream movies from a Chinese website to her MBA but there is an intermittent issue with buffering. Some days there's no problem then days its very bad.
I thought it was probably an issue with the site's server but I just ran this test. From my iPad 2 I connected to the same site and same spot in the movie and let it run. I allowed it to run for > 5 minutes and experienced no buffering at all on the iPad while the MBA buffered long every minute or so.
Was this an invalid test?
What could be causing the MBA's buffering. She isn't running anything in the background (to my knowledge) and basically uses the Air for surfing and streaming.
