Ok so i wanted to know, Can you use the video out on a MBA to go to a 40" HDTV? I was interested in getting one to replace my MB for school but i want to be abel to connect it to my HDTV in my room. Is this possible?

It depends on the resolution of the TV, is it 1080i/p or 720i/p?

Also how do you plan on attaching it, RGB, SVideo (not recommended) or HDMI (best - Target has a DVI to HDMI cable for $40)?

The worst thing you might find is that it does not fill the screen. It will still be BIG though.

1080 and i like the HDMI idea

My Air works just fine on my 46" 1080. Just hook the mini-DVI to DVI adapter that comes with the Air to an "ExtremeHD HDMI to DVI Cable" (they sell them at the online Apple store & at some retail Apple stores for $20 - I am amazed at how much most places overcharge for this sort of item, so $20 is a great price). Works like a charm.
