MBA video out

    Ok so i wanted to know, Can you use the video out on a MBA to go to a 40" HDTV? I was interested in getting one to replace my MB for school but i want to be abel to connect it to my HDTV in my room. Is this possible?

    Yes. It is possible.

    Setting up your Macbook Air with your HDTV is quick and simple and the converters needed to do so come with the notebook.

    Its great fun when you sync it up with your Wii and use your wiimote as your mouse on your mac displayed on your HDTV !

    It depends on the resolution of the TV, is it 1080i/p or 720i/p?

    Also how do you plan on attaching it, RGB, SVideo (not recommended) or HDMI (best - Target has a DVI to HDMI cable for $40)?

    The worst thing you might find is that it does not fill the screen. It will still be BIG though.

    My Air works just fine on my 46" 1080. Just hook the mini-DVI to DVI adapter that comes with the Air to an "ExtremeHD HDMI to DVI Cable" (they sell them at the online Apple store & at some retail Apple stores for $20 - I am amazed at how much most places overcharge for this sort of item, so $20 is a great price). Works like a charm.
