It is definitely NOT bad enough to NOT get one. I recently switched from the 13 inch retina MBP to the 13 inch Air and the display is fine. You already understand that it is no retina but that being said, it isn't "bad" or "terrible."
Why did you switch? What happened to your rmbp?

Me using my wife's air over a weekend trip while I left my rmbp at home by mistake. Just love the wedge, weight and how cool it runs. I miss retina, but prefer everything else about the air.

I sold my rmbp and picked up an air. Made 300 in the process:cool:

Got my MBA this morning so spent the day with it and getting everything updated and I have to say that it's a cracking bit of kit.

And I have to say that I haven't really missed the retina aspect although you can notice the difference.

Really pleased that I got it.

Great to hear. Every once in a while I go to the Apple Store for some other reason and I look at the retina MBPs. The Air form factor would probably be worth non-retina to me.

My problem is I have Toyota Syndrome. God, I want to replace my MBP, but I see no good reason to do it. Soon enough, Apple will just stop supporting key OS features on it:mad:

MBA is a great machine. I had a 2010 model for 4 years. Agreed its not a MBP screen, but it is very workable machine. I was thrilled with mine.
