mbp 13.3 2.26 refurbished or student disc

From apple online, I am looking to buy either a refurbished or a student discount. The new student discount is a hundred dollars more, money that could easily be spent elsewhere. I do not need the new car smell/experience, but do not like problems. Anyone have a recommendation for me which way to go?

Personally I've had great experiences with refurbs. It seems like they end up with less problems because they are thoroughly checked out before being sent out again. I've ordered everything from iMacs to iPods from the refurb side and it's all checked out.

I say skip the educational discount and save an extra $100 bucks.
