MBP 13" i5 w/ 8GB RAM or i7 refurbished?

Hello,

I am in the market for MBP, 13" (2012 models):

Option 1, is to get i5 base model with 8GB RAM.
Option 2, is to pickup a refurbished i7 model which has 8 GB RAM and 750 GB storage.

The price difference is about $50 more for refurbished one.

I am just a normal user, new to MAC, and planning to use MBP as some light code developing and etc. Not going to run COD kind of games 😱

Which one should I go for?

Since you're willing to get a refurb, go with the base i5 refurbished and add 8 or even 16 GB of RAM to it yourself. It's MUCH cheaper than getting it from Apple, and it's simple to do.

Defiantly go with the refurbished one! You are getting a lot more for that $50 it looks like.
