    Hi guys,

I'm about to buy a new macbook but I'm still deciding on what to get. While thinking about what model to buy I've been offered a sealed in box 2012 MBP 13" i7 for the price of a i5 MBA.

My usage is not going to be heavy, I will mostly use it for browsing, office and streaming mkv's @ 1080p with PS Media Server or play them directly with XBMC.

All these tasks were handled fine by my old 2011 13" i7. I read that the MBA fan goes mental when streaming videos so I don't know if it's going to handle 1080p stream.

Best thing about the MBA is the screen res and weight. The only drawbacks for the MBP is the screen res and having to buy a SSD although they're really cheap nowadays.

I already have a Thule sleeve for the MBP so that's another thing I don't have to buy, if I buy the Air one is gonna cost me another 50€.

    What's your opinion?

    Thanks in advance

You might as well get the MBP as you will get a better deal
