Resolved MBP 13 late 2016 no audio

Hey everyone

So today I booted my MBP with toucher and there was no audio device detected, The audio button is grey on the touch bar and in the menu bar. It doesn't detect audio in either, only airplay capable devices. I tried connecting my USB-C LG 27UD88 monitor which passes through audio and that's still not an option to select from the menu.

I'm running Sierra 10.12.6


What I have tried

Reboot
NVRAM reset
SMC reset
ran some terminal commands that should shut down coreaudio and relaunch them
safe boot

still no audio

Anyone had same issues?

I downloaded Sierra from the App Store and installed on top of the current installation that worked!
