apple say it has a :NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory (the link http://support.apple.com/kb/SP541)

so if i upgrade the ram from 4GB to 8GB, the GPU will get more memory as well ?
i know from a friend with the last model with the Intel HD 3000 GPU that he went from 384MB to 512MB he got 128 MB+!!!,will it happened the same to me ? thnx in advance!

No as your graphics card has an on board amount of ram, the intel cards memory depend on the amount of memory you put in but only go unto 512MB anyway.

The 9400M takes its RAM from the "main" RAM, as it has no own RAM. The 9600M GT has its own RAM.

Anyway, I have a 2009 MBP with a 9400M / 9600M GT combo and also have 8 GB RAM, but the 9400 M still only takes 256 MB from that RAM.
