Hey

I am willing to get a macbook pro soon and i have two options can't decide which is better

1- Macbook pro 13" mid 2012 Core i5 - 4gb ram - 500gb hdd (I will upgrade it to 16gb ram and 1tb SSHD ) *Old version without retina* *1250$*

2- MBPr 13" mid 2014 Core i5 - 8gb ram - 256gb SSD (Can't upgrade any part of it) *Newest model* *1360$* the 128gb version is 1250$

So the old or the new? i need a laptop to live with me for 5 years at least with good performance .. i can't get a new laptop every year

Get the 2013 rmbp on a discount unless you need tons of storage.
In that case get the cmbp

the storage isn't problem i can get an external 2tb hdd .. the problem is the ram

i don't know if 8gb of ram will hold the next 2 years .. i will use autocad, 3dmax, photoshop, MATLAB, office
, etc

late 2013 rmbp price is really close to mid 2014 .. i will search again and if i found a late 2013 with a big price difference i will get it
