Just ordered a 13" MBP from AMZ. Will I get one with Lion pre-install or do I have to do the upgrade from Snow to Lion myself? The product description isnt clear about this.

I think it depends on there stock. My 13inch fom AMZ came with lion; a friend who ordered theirs 2 days prior to me came with Snow Leopard.

Either way you can upgrade for free, just remember you have 30 days to "claim it."

I personally wish mine came with SL as i'd have claimed the lion download but not installed it until 10.7.1 or even 10.7.2 was out.

I think Lion is overrated.. Just stick to whatever comes preinstalled on the Pro.
And wait until Lion gets less faulty to upgrade

It depends on when the MB was configured. There are a lot of them (pretty much all new ones) come with Lion but I got mine... what 2 weeks ago? And it came with SL.

Im glad. I think Lion is a little.... meh.

I received my MBP on Friday. It came preinstalled with Lion. The date on the exterior box shows 7/31/11. So MBPs with dates of 7/31/11 should all have Lion preinstalled. I cannot for sure say them all, but I'm guessing most likely, they will have Lion and not SL.
