I found this interesting when I cracked open my new 15" MBP 2.53. The internals look similar to the new 13", and there is only a single fan. I'm not sure if this is ONLY on the 2.53 model (without the discrete graphics), or if all the new Pros only have a single fan as well.

Sorry for the poor quality iPhone photo.

Mine only has a single fan. I have this exact same laptop. It makes sense in that the 13" 9400m (technically an integrated chip) only has one fan.

This laptop is dead, dead silent.

Makes sense, the 9400 is an integrated chip. And you don't need 2 cpu fans.

Not really surprising. The double heatsink/fan is needed to handle the extra heat brought on by the 9600 chip itself. No sense keeping the big heatsink around without it.
