Hey all,

Looking to snag the 15” 2018 MBP for the following price:

15.4" Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar - Core i7 2.2 GHz - 16 GB RAM - 256GB SSD AMD Radeon Pro 555X(MR962LL, Silver) $1825 (out the door)

This is substantially cheaper than the new 2019. I know there is speculation of a new 16” in the future, but the problem with that is (I) we have no clue when it will drop and (II) I’m not sure if he willing to spend more than $2k.

Just wondering if there is reason for me to continue to wait or if this is a good enough price to jump on.

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Thank you!

This is a very good price for this config. Personally, I wouldn't wait anymore, the new 16" is likely not coming this year anymore and if it is it will probably be priced at a premium over the current high end config...so way out of your budget.

Just grab this one and enjoy it!

Sure - the 2018 model is very fast. The new ones are faster but that won’t change the usability of the 2018 model

It'll absolutely be fine! The only thing to worry about is the small SSD. An external SSD would be a great addition. The Samsung T5's are great and really small.
