I will be attending graduate school for design and will use the computer for a variety of projects ranging from print, web, video and photography. Also my idea is with getting the MBP and a monitor is so I replace having two computers. My only concern is the battery life and longevity of the MBP.

Feel free to give me your opinions and if you have had a set up with either of these and what was most effective. Thanks! :)

I had pretty much the same decision to make if you see my other thread.

I chose the MBP and external monitor and I love it.

Go that path and you won't be disappointed.

15" Macbook pro and an external monitor, preferably the older cinema displays which are matte. It's my set up (sig). Love it
