MBP 16" 2021's Trackpad size??? Compared to 2019's 16"

Hey guys. so i accidentally dropped my flashlight which is black anozied to the trackpad and its kinda dented it a little. like so little but you can tell the color differences. so i want to get a trackpad skin instead. but we dont have dbrand here. so i'm trying a local supplier but they dont have support for the new 16" yet. so for people that have both 2019 and 2021 16 inch, is the trackpad size the same?? or is it different? even by a little?

I don't have both machines to compare, but if you have an iPad Mini (5th gen. or lower), you can use that to figure it out: The iPad Mini (5th gen. or lower) screen was exactly the same size as the trackpad on my Intel 16" MacBook Pro. So if you can compare an iPad Mini screen to the new 16" and see the screens are exactly the same size, you know the new and old 16" trackpads are the same size.

But I have neither an old iPad Mini or an old 16" MBP to be able to check for you.

My 2021 16" is about a half-millimeter short of 16cm wide, 1mm short of 10cm deep. Someone else will have to measure for the 2019.

Yeah but it's so difficult to ship to here . The customs here are kinda an ass to handle sometimes.

Yes I can confirm the trackpad is the same exact size as the 2019 16"

When I bought my 2019 16" I bought 2 dbrand skins. It fit perfectly.

Unfortunately the local supplier don't have 16inch sizes. Bummer. Anyways how does it feel using a trackpad skin? Which feels better? Matte black or others? Thanks!!

I'd go with matte black. The carbon fibre has a bit of texture to it. Both are better than not having one.
