Hey,
I just got my MacBook Pro 16" with the i9, 1 Tb, 5500M 8gb, 16gb RAM which replaced my old 2015 15".
I got no problems with the display, practically no coil whine (only during setup), popping that occurs when scrubbing is fixed with the QuickTime player trick. Running rather cool (40-45c during browsing with no display, with external display it idles at around 50-55c).

I did notice one thing though which worries me and its the battery health.
It has 1 cycle on the battery, but the thing that worries me is the max capacity + battery health on iStats.

The design capacity should be 8790mAh but my MacBook Pro only has 7852mAh which is a -10.67% difference,
Converting this into wAh, gives me 91.8wAh which is far below the design specification of a 100wAh (-8.2%). (conversion can be done at https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/mah-to-wh-calculator.html )
On iStats battery health it shows that it is at 89%.

The laptop is brand new, about 4 hours since I got it and has only updated it and installed some apps + done some QC to see that everything is good which so far is very good!

So how is the MacBook Pro 16" that others have received and the battery health / max capacity on the battery? Is this something normal that evens out over time?

Well documented issue. Just let the laptop drain it’s battery entirely and then charge to 100%, leaving it plugged in an hour after it hits 100%.

Capacity should go up during the first few cycles. Others have reported such.

I am experiencing the same thing. I got my MBP 16 today and it had only 7xxx mAh. I drained the battery to 0 and recharged it. After two hours it read 100% and it still had 7xxx mAh. I kept it connected to the power adapter and now it goes up to 8506 mAh which is 96.8% of the designed capacity. I'm curious when it's gonna reach 100%.

A few more cycles. Just use and charge the machine normally and it should be at full capacity in a week or so.

First time I looked (after 3-4 cycles), my coconut Battery informed health was 93,4% (16" MBP). Then I decided to make full charge. When Apple OS battery info showed 100%, coconut was still on 95% and very slowly raising. Last 99-100% took almost an hour. But, now the health is 100%.
