Hello,

My MBP has i9, 64 GB RAM and 5500M 8 GB Graphic Card

Since Monterey MBP constantly freezing on dual external monitor with 4K resolution each (Acer)

constant kernel panics: userspace watchdog timeout: no successful checkins from com.apple.WindowServer in X amount of time...

However, when I reboot and logged-in it keeps instantly freezing again, without doing anything at all,

It just freezes as soon as logged in and when I tried to open an app, this problem hits my productivity,

Sometimes I am switching between accounts and again, freezing and hard reset is only option.

What may cause this?

Kindest Regards

Hello Again,

Now it freezes as soon as I plugin second monitor to thunderbolt

It is really frustrating.

I have two identical monitor of Acer's 28 inch and 4K resolution,

Has anyone had any issue?

Kindest Regards

@infernoguy I am using type-c to HDMI on both displays. It is fine on single monitor but keeps freezing now and than whenever I plugged the second monitor.

I have the same computer - mbp 16 i9 5500 8g

Very similar issue with two dell monitors. Computer becomes unusable if I try to turn both monitors on.

usb-c to hdmi(secondary monitor) and usb-c to hub with hdmi to hdmi (main monitor)

Any luck resolving the issue?

@kennyglenn no luck so far, latest update is not fixed this problem yet, only way is to return to Big Sur, but it cost me time and effort, which I don't have yet, I am stuck to single monitor so far.

@mustafaerdinc Just wanted to report on back on this, as we have a shared frustration. I had my additional monitor rotated 90deg, setting it back to standard has fixed the issue. Everything working like a dream.

Just documenting here. This is actually still an issue if you do anything taxing on your graphics card. Still consistently crashing when using Figma.
