Specs:
32gb of ram
i9 2.3 cpu
8gb vram
1 tb ssd.

Power nap is turned off.
DND while sleep is turned on.

This doesn’t seem normal to me. I’ve seen people claim theirs drain 1-3% in sleep mode (when lid’s closed) in a similar period of time. I got this mbp on dec the 23rd and set it up as new, I close the lid with little to no apps open; safari and maybe spotify. Nothing raises suspicion in activity monitor..

Also, battery capacity in coconutbattery is 95.5% after 11 cycles. It was never 100%.. highest it’s ever gotten was 99.7% and then 97% and after a calibration it dropped to 95%ish lol.

What do you guys think? this is really irritating as I paid so much for this machine and it loses % like that in sleep..

Also I barely get 4.5 hours out of it with light use too..

Same specs and same problem here. I choose to turn it off every time.
it takes much longer to turn it on from a shut down state than it does from sleep :/ that’s why I don’t do it 😭😭😭

I’ve been leaving mine unplugged to sleep for a few nights now and in the morning it’s usually 97-99%

Maybe you should check energy saver settings and turn off settings like wake for network access and power nap, if they aren’t already, and see if you use any programs that may be trying to run during sleep
