Average temp is between 50-58 always... exactly like it was on previous Monterey. The only difference is that now fans are constantly running, when in Monterey they were not running below, i think, 90. Yes, i know its a beta software but anyway. Does someone know which is the issue or how it can be fixed? Or is it happening to someone else? No options to turn on fans is enabled in TGpro.

Nobody is going to know what the issue is, if there is one, until the full release. You’re trying to troubleshoot something so small (1500rpm) that may not even exist in the next beta version let alone the final release.

Additionally, there are environmental factors that play a role as well when it comes to temps. You say you understand it’s beta software yet want a fix? Doesn’t work like that.

It was more like a curiosity (if its happening to someone else) than something which needs immediately a fix.. because it was written dozen of times, everywhere, forums, news and so on, that on the new m1 processors the fans doesnt turn on.
for sure i can live with this fan speed running constantly until the final release.

I hear but as someone who is a hardware/software tester in the enterprise something such as 1500rpm in fan speed is hardly a cause for an immediate fix. Now if the fans were maxed out 24/7 then yes but what you’re describing is simply inefficient resource management with either software or hardware.

Don’t mean to be rude but it never fails to see a user download a developer alpha or beta comment on something so trivial. It makes folks in my industry shake their head and since Apple has made it “fun” for the common user to download pre-release software expecting the release experience it’s hard to bite my tongue.

This is very creative: Releasing beta software and asking for feedback, telling users that you can only improve the software with feedback. Then act all hurt and berate people if they experience problems and report it. Attempt to intimidate, shame or make it more difficult for people to report problems, then say you can't fix things that people don't report.

If you ask for feedback, don't be surprised when people give feedback. Don't put it past Apple to declare something to be "working as intended". Better to report things you consider a problem than to do nothing and assume that Apple also sees it as needing to be fixed.

see if 'powerd' is running at over 100% in activity monitor (this is happening for me, and others as well). and someone posted a workaround IF. this, in the terminal:

sudo pmset schedule cancelall

obviously, only do that IF that's an issue. otherwise, yes, it's a beta, and it's the price we pay to be in the beta program.

The above fix worked for me, Silence again.
Just wondering if I will have to do this ever time I boot up

As far as i can tell, no. Ive attempted all of the commands to "fix" it from the several reddit threads and mine still seems to have "powerd" pegged at 103% CPU at all times. the cancelall command does not work for me.

yes, why? don't think it's related to mail (i don't have mail on my imac, where i'm having the issue).
I've still not seen it -- still on PB2 (DB4). Mail has never been setup.

I did however get netbiosd seeming to loop. I think it's stopped since I disabled 'bonjour' showing in finder....

Download Macfan control and run them how you want.

Personally I keep mine running and try to keep my MBP cool. I'd rather blow my fans out once a year than let it run hot all the time.

Unfortunately I already use Macs FanControl and the fans run flat out. Using sudo pmset schedule cancelall the fans do slow down considrably
