MBP 16" Seeking noise?

Hey everyone,

my new MBP is making a sound similar to a hard drive seeking. Anyone else?

What could it be? Seeing as it uses an SSD.

There are several threads regarding "coil whine" noise with the 16" MacBook Pros. Suggest doing a search and then compare what you're hearing with that of others.

Thanks. I saw threads calling it that, but thought coil whine would sound more.... whiney.

I listened to some examples of it at a tech site and it actually sounds more like a high pitch hissing noise. The noise you hear could also be the fans. Might be a good idea to have your MBP checked out when Apple opens its stores again.
