This is the second time this has happened.

A couple of weeks ago, on my new MBP 16 (specs in sig) after installing all my apps and whatnot and using the laptop for a good 2 weeks. One night I shut it down, when I woke up the next morning and turned it on, everything was loading in slow motion, super slow. Slow to the point where if I launch Safari it wouldn't even go to the Homepage it would just be a white page loading. Clicking on anything or trying to launch any app was super laggy and slow so I formatted the laptop and all was good.

Fast forward to last night, I turned it off, turned it back on this morning and the same exact thing happened! I tried SMC and NVRAM reset but that didn't help at all.

So the first thing I thought of uninstalling was Malwarebytes (since it's a security software and who knows how deeply it may or not be integrated into the system) even though I only had the free version. The moment I did that, everything went back to normal. I then rebooted to make sure and everything was still fine.

What are your thoughts about this? anyone experienced such thing?

PS: Before I uninstalled it I made sure to run a scan which finished in like 5 seconds and said my system was clean

I did a TM restore from my old 2015 MBP a while after, I been having a lag now so I uninstalled Malwarebytes. My laptop is still laggy "beach ball" when I scroll in finder and some apps like word...etc

-I just deleted com.apple.finder.plist file in /Home/Library/Preferences/. let see if this will make my lag any better.
