My MBP has been experiencing repeated kernel panics with increasing frequency over the last 2 weeks. To be more precise, it happens whenever the laptop is moved jerkily, whenever pressure is applied to the top left corner (next to the battery, under the screen joint), and (most recently), whenever I stream video online. Any idea what might be causing this? I've read that it can be related to either hardware or software.

    Thanks!

Here are my specs, and below them is the log of the latest panic (in case that helps):

    Specs:
    Processor: Core i5 (2.53GHz)
    Memory: 4GB
    Disk Size: 500GB
    OS Version: 10.6.8

Is your your software updated? The problem is WindowServer, the process, that gives you the fancy graphics you use to interact with to control your computer.
And as your GPU kexts have been a source of a problem with WindowServer it might be some driver issue.
I assume you use Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, the latest version?

PS: The battery is nowhere near the display.

Thanks for the help! Yes, my software is (to the best of my knowledge) updated. I am using Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (10.6.8 to be precise). Is there some way to correct the issue related to WindowServer?

PS. My mistake on the description - I think I got a bit confused there :)
