Hello!

I am sending my new MBP 17 to get a color change, my top two options are white w/ :apple: indiglo colored or black with a lime color colored apple logo, please let me know which color you think I should get. I am seriously confused and want everyones opinion, please reply with "white" or "black." I am open to any other color configurations also, feel free to color design at colorwarepc.com!

I would suggest a zebra or polka dot pattern. That way you get the best of both worlds (white and black).

Secondly, if you're that confused, you may want to consider a PC.

Please. You can get special deal. Free Mac Book Pro. Plenty colour. Pink too. No scam!£$! Send details to me and monies of $1,000 and I send to you ok?

:p

To the OP, this comes off as spam but colorware is a highly regarded company and I seriously doubt they're sending minions out there in the trenches to spam forums. Therefore, I say do as you wish with your MBP.

Neither. White and blue? Black and green? Horrible color combos in my opinion.

As a sidenote:
I would, at the very least wait until your 1 year apple warranty is up as getting your computer colored voids apple's warranty. Since Colorware will apparently only cover things for 1 year, it makes much more sense to do it after your one year warranty is finished, that way you can at least get two years of coverage.

personally I wouldn't bother with it because of the whole voiding the warranty thing and the fact that pricing STARTS at $499.

I would suspect any paint would increase the temperature.
Also what happens to your warranty? You send in a black macbook pro that's been painted and they deny the warranty most likely.

i had my top laser etched...it was sweet.

im selling off my mac stuff for my move.

from one government to another.

anyways...go laser etching!!!

Black would probably increase your mbp's case temperature.

+1^^

Also, I prefer the color Aluminum, which I have:D. iThink it's the most beautiful:). If you really want it painted, get zebra stripes. All white would look weird and all black would clash with the keyboard.

This really did come off as an advertisement. I've never purchased any of colorware's services but I have been interested in it before (Nintendo DS). Make sure you come back and post a few pictures of how it turns out.

By the way, I personally love the silver metal that the MacBooks already have! Although, I would change the color of the awful black keys...

At first I screamed SPAM but now I guess it was a genuine question. As for my opinion, I wouldn't change my mBP color, it voids the warranty, costs too much and in my opinion, ruins the design.

why on earth would you want to paint the thing? it looks so good already...

and $500????? you should donate that money to me.. im poor

Techno Blue Metallic Top/Bottom
Graphite Metallic Palm/Screen Border
Diamond Pearl Logo

I'm going to say black - that looks sharp.

The only thing is, I wonder about the durability of painting the alu? If memory serves me correctly the finish on the old Ti books flaked off after using it, and it pretty bad as the finish wore off.

I'd be somewhat tempted for this myself if it wasn't for the fear that it would scratch easily, or the paint would not wear to well after constant use.

I think it's beuatiful all silver and aluminum. I can't imagine why you would want to paint it. I'd say for $500 buy an SSD drive. That's what *I* would do.

Keep one other thing in mind - your warranty. In all likelihood, it will be voided. Even their own FAQ states that.

As I noted in my earlier post, the black looks sharp, I'd probably be tempted once my warranty period comes close to expiring. Lets see, buy applecare before the 1 year period or paint it black :D
