What color should I paint my MBP 17"

I say black with a teal logo.

I'm would assume that if the OP is willing to spend this type of money to merely change the color of his computer he is not too concerned about voiding his warranty.

I really believe the computer looks best stock; well my computers (namely laptops), get pretty beat up, so if I had mine painted it would either fade or get scratched easily.

Thank you for your concerns and opinions, I guess I didn't read my post close enough, but after I did even I thought it sounded spamish, lol. At any rate, people at the company i've heard make fun of the black because its soooo glossy and shinny that even a long sleeved shirt can cause scratch marks on the palm rest. It is for this reason that I started debating with the diamond white, from what I have heard this color is timeless and rarely scratchs or looks bad, but I am afraid of the shockingly white color being contrasted with the black keys. Once again for those who gave me an opinion i appreciate it!

why on earth would you want to paint the thing? it looks so good already...

and $500????? you should donate that money to me.. im poor

im poor too, but i just love my mbp and want the color change and 1 TB :)

Keep one other thing in mind - your warranty. In all likelihood, it will be voided. Even their own FAQ states that.

As I noted in my earlier post, the black looks sharp, I'd probably be tempted once my warranty period comes close to expiring. Lets see, buy applecare before the 1 year period or paint it black :D

Thanks, I am fully covered for a whole month and then a remaining 11 months after that for everything but i have to pitch in for parts....

My thoughts are use it a lot in the first month and if nothing goes wrong cross my fingers and hope for the best...

I would honestly not bother with colouring your MBP.

If you have that kind of money laying around and nothing else better to do with it, I would seriously do what others have mentioned and buy a large, fast SSD.

Then you'd have something to really brag about.

I second that. The novelty of the new color will wear off after a while, but the benefit from an SSD will last forever.
