Recently I've experienced several crashes related to BridgeOS – is there anything I can try myself or do I *AGAIN have to contact Apple?

Some more details: I also occasionally have issue with sticky Tab (probably caused by the keyboard, even though it has been already replaced once), internal audio randomly disappearing from the system (and reappearing later, causing awful lag), occasional kernel panics and some IOGraphicsAccelerator errors in the system log and problems with playing video or malformed webpages in Safari (both with and without extensions). in the system log. Diagnosticd process (deamon) runs almost all the time with high CPU usage.

I have contacted Apple Support and all they've "advised" me was to reinstall everything. I've applied combo update and nothing has change, there's little reasons to believe that full reinstall would change anything. Thank you for any input… I'm really getting mad as I'm having some problems since December (swollen battery), at that time they've change the battery and keyboard at once, but soon after that I've started getting these…

*Luckily this time not during the lockdown...

Doubt reinstall will fix this. It happens to machines fresh out the box too. Having macOS and BridgeOS manage everything was a.....bridge too far. Maybe iJustine can help us because she's always smiling and glowing about her machines....cough

This Mac is covered by Apple Care... might they do something (i.e. new unit) about it?

One suggestion, look for the ”Panic string” in the log message, that sometimes give you more information about the root cause.

The T2 chip acts a watchdog for the system, so it will log errors from the Intel CPU for instance. Not in a very user friendly way unfortunately, I found the Panic String to give the most useful information when present.

If you have externally connected equipment try disconnecting for a couple of days.
