Hello,

I have a mid 2010 MBP 15" i5 2.54GHz - 4GB Ram - 320GB HDD and a mid 2013 MBA 13.3" i5 1.4GHz 4GB Ram 120GB SSD

I'm a web developer and thinking about upgrading the MBP to 8GB ram and SSD. Do you think it's worth upgrading and makes sense when I have the MBA? Compared to MBA can I get a better performance?

The CPU in the Air is just going to be so much faster - I'd go with the Air.

I switched from a 2010 15" MBP fully loaded to a 2013 MBA fully loaded (8/i7/513)--the difference is night and day. The MBA has been able to run VMs (1-3 VMs) in VirtualBox faster than the 2010 ran Mac OS X.

No retina, but also no lag, stutter or slowness of any kind compared to the 2010.

No regrets whatsoever:)
