Hi guys,

I recently got a deal for the MBP 2015 15" base model and decided to pull the trigger and get it.

Now, it only has 256 GB SSD but I was still thinking about running bootcamp to install a few games such as BF1, Overwatch, WoW and CS:GO.

1) How many GB should I allocate to the partition? Would 100GB be sufficient? Then I'll have about 150GB on the OSX side, which will be the primary OS. Windows will ONLY be used for games (and not all that often)

2) If only 100GB on the Windows side, obviously I can't install all the listed games. Will I be able to run games off an external hard drive? I had an old drive laying around that appears to be a Seagate Slim SRD00F1 which has 500gb and assumably USB 3.0. Should I invest in a thunderbolt drive instead or does that not matter?

Side question: anyone know how the base model 15" will run these games? Obviously it doesn't have the dedicated graphics card or the faster processor but I'm just a veeeeeeery casual gamer. If one or two of the games wont run very well I would rather know now before I buy the game!

Thanks in advance!

Extra:
Would I be able to buy an Xbox One and stream it to Windows over WiFi? That would eliminate all of my requirements if I could essentially just use my Mac as a monitor!

I have a 512GB SSD so I have a little more room, but not limitless. I am keenly aware of the fact that World of Warcraft is taking up 44.34GB of space. So, 100GB isn't going to be much at all.

I noticed that game takes up quite a bit! That is why I was seeing if I could just install it on an external hard drive..

How is the game running? Pretty decent?

I run it at 1650x1050 with graphics quality set at "7", so on the high end, and get anywhere from 68-72FPS in the highest trafficked areas like Dalaran and Stormwind. I am very, very pleased. This is infinitely better than my 2012 MBP. I am running it on the 2016 MBP with the Radeon 455 2GB card, 2.7GHz with 16GB.

In fact, it runs better than my 2016 Dell XPS 15" with the GTX 960M, which makes no sense to me at all. On the XPS I'm even using a lower resolution.

Awesome. Fortunately for you, you have the graphics card.. Me, not so much. We'll see. I wouldn't mind running the game on medium settings if I get decent frame rates!
