MBP and arrow keys / numpad?

My old Dell lappy used to have a keyboard shortcut for toggling the right-hand side of the keyboard into a number pad, but I couldn't find any equivalent for the Mac.

For games that use the number pad for 8-way directional keys, is there any way to play properly on a MBP without an external keyboard?
