Anyone else see the $300.00 off sale on the 13 and 15" MBPs? Great deal for both machines. Anyone taking advantage? Certainly a sign of some future products to come I am sure!
 
Anyone think they'll be as discounted after wwdc if Apple announces new Mbp? Or will it most likely be a $100 discount? If that new Mbp wasn't worth the 6+ months of waiting by wwdc I'm probably gonna get the 2015
 
If the rMB 12 sale is any judge, now is the time to pick up a MBP. Those 2015 rMB are 100.00 off, but before the 2016 announcement we had the 300.00 sale. I took advantage of that and typing from my 2015 rMB 512mb that I got for 1250.00. But now I am wondering if my photo editing needs are pushing me towards a sale like this. Probably could get good $ on eBay for my rMB.
 
Honestly I would take the 15 Macbook pro's at $300 off than wait and pay full price for the 16 versions .... Minor spec upgrades over the 4th or 5th gen cpu's
 
Dunno why, but I'm very tempted by this sale for the $1149 (I have a $50 coupon) model. I already have a Late 2014 mini, Late 2013 Mac Pro, Air 2, and a relatively cheap Skylake Dell laptop for those rare must-have-Windows situations. I suppose it's just the appeal of a still-current MacBook at a significant discount from a reputable store. Trying to come up with a good use for this thing!
 
Im so tempted, too. I actually have it saved in my shopping cart on bestbuy.com lol Do you all think Apple will redesign the Macbook pro in June? thats the only thing thats keeping me from upgrading. Anyone pulling the trigger and buying one tonight??

Not really IMHO about the design.

Pretty sure we'll see a redesign or decent revision of the rMBP at WWDC in June. Question I'm weighing is that redesign/revision worth an extra $300? Assume price point of $1499 remains for comparable features. Tax on current Best Buy sale price vs. MacMall (eventual) 2016 rMBP gives you a savings of ~$300 today.
 
Today I found a good discount so I bought an 2015 Macbook pro 15" instead of the 2016 13" rMBP (here in Hungary the starting price of the 15" machine is about 2500 dollar (lower end model with 2.2 Ghz, exactly the same price of the RMPB 13 256 Gb which I wanted to buy when the skylake MPB comes out), but I "only" pay about 1900 dollar for it. I hope it's gonna be a good choice and I won't regret it. :)
 
If you already have an existing rMBP the best thing you can do is to wait for it. A new design is always better. I am still happy with the current design as it is still new to me. It is only my first Macbook.

The one that we waiting for so long, but they didn't released it so far, so I ordered a 2015 2.2Ghz 15" instead of it. The starting price of the 13" version would be the same like the current model I assume. More than dollar 1700 here in Hungary.

Given the huge wait period that we're in now, the longest in rMBP history, and the design of the rMB, which is now a year old, I'd say the redesign is a sure thing. Especially when you factor in Thunderbolt 3, USB-C, the improved color gamut on the iMac screens, etc. There are tons of areas of improvement that would merit a redesign. The couple of rumors that we've gotten so far seem credible. We'll get some thin MBPs at WWDC.

Releasing a rMBP product that's just a processor refresh that pales in design (and doesn't match the design language of the MacBook, iPad Pro, or iPhone) to the lesser rMB, would be absurd.
 
Picked up the base 15". The $300 in my pocket is good, and covers the cost of Apple Care. Need it now, and it's supplementing a 2011 MacMini so I'm not worried about any upgrades vs the value I got at the price.

It is very hard to pass that deal up. Gonna pick one up tomorrow!
