I have had my MBP for well over a year now and I'm thinking about getting an external display.
I wanted to get your buying and setup tips before I went shopping.

I have been looking at the Apple Cinema Display - it looks great but what's the quality like and it is worth the money?

Could some of you please give me some tips on how I could set up my MBP with an external display.

Thanks in advance

Search the forums if you want information on the Apple Cinema Display. There is loads of threads that will cover all the information you require.

As for setting it up with the MacBook Pro - it is very easy. Plug it in, then go to System Preferences --> Displays. You can change the resolution of the display, make it the primary display (i.e. where the Dock and all applications will appear), make it mirrored to your MacBook Pro display.
